AGP slot, Dx10 support, 512mg memory
Packaged drivers, 8 pin power

I had to upgrade to this card due to my ATI AIW 3800 died. This card brings new life into my aging system. AMD Athlon XP 2800+, 1gig DDR 400 memory, Gigabyte GA7NNXP mother board. I could have bought a lower card, but with this I hope to keep my current computer for several now years. This install was OK, but I could not get the packaged drivers to install. Kept saying I needed to be the administrator of the computer, I am. I downloaded the most resent drivers from ATI and the install went smooth. The included 2 molex to 8 pin adapter was used to power the card. Glad I upgraded my power supply awhile ago. Handles the new card without problems. I would recommend this card for users looking to keep their AGP system around longer.

-New games become playable on AGP -Quiet fan, stays pretty cool -Works with standard 8.6 Catalyst drivers
-9" long. Make sure you have room. -Needs a good power supply with enough amps on 12V rails. Uses 2x4-pin Molex to 8-pin PCI-E adapter. -Not enough to play Crysis well, etc.

I have a P4 Northwood 3.2HT system. With this card new or newish games are once again playable with okay framerates. This is a much cheaper solution than building a whole new system, but you do get what you pay for. This card isn't nearly as powerful as the offerings now available at low prices on PCI-Express, but if you have an AGP system and want to squeeze another year or two of use out of it, this will get you by. Those with dual-core CPUs will benefit the most. HOWEVER, if your case is not big enough or your power supply not strong enough, you are probably better off just building a whole new system. The driver issues seem to have been addressed with Catalyst 8.6, so download it from ATI and ignore the installation CD. If you have problems, Sapphire's site has download links for hotfix drivers.

It really does add on to the life of an aging agp motherboard. The support for this chip was also great, I just took out my old card and put this one in and it installed flawlessly.
It takes two 4 pin molexs to run so make sure you have a good power supply.

This card runs amazingly. Just make sure that when you are ready to put it in uninstall your old graphics card driver and you should be good to go, and don't worry if everything is big at first on your desktop, you can save the resolution settings under the ati icon on your toolbar.
