GeForce 8800 GT Video Card Reviews

Ease of installation. Quality and reliability.
Big card

Tried to install on an older mother board but would not boot up the video. Updated the bios and still no go. Googled the motherboard and found that it did not support the Ge Force. Now using the card on Abit pro 35. Works like a charm with a bump of overclocking. No problems so far. No issues with being loud. This is my first expensive video card and I am glad I bought it. You will be happy with this card so buy it.

Performance for a good price is hard to beat. Running World of Warcraft with max settings I get 60 fps everywhere except Shattrath where I get 50.
The card is thin, but long. Just barely fit my huge Antec P182 case.

The most I ever paid for a video card, but the performance I get out of it is worth every penny. Make sure the rest of your components won't bottleneck your performance.

Very good video card for the money! I was torn between this one and it's larger sibling but price won out in the end.
size of the video card. external power required.

Great buy! Great Customer service from EVGA. I had an issue installing the card and a 110mm CPU fan the same day. Ended up crippling my mobo. At first I thought it was the card but I was wrong. EVGA did help ALOT, including offering to replace / upgrade for more. wound up replacing the mobo and keeping the card. It runs beautifully but I can't imagine running two of the beasts!

Great speed, features, and quiet fan.
Not the overclocked version and not the fastest GPU offered by NVIDIA.

First things first, with the 8800 GT prices now falling sub-$200, this is a great time to pick one of these up! The performance is absolutely incredible. I am able to play Crysis at high settings without even breaking a sweat! This is coming from a 6600 GT where I was barely able to get by with low settings. In addition, the fan is relatively quiet and I really don't hear it all. If you have to get the fastest on the market, then of course the GTS would have this beat. However, for the money, you can't get a better deal. Even more, you can always add on another down the road for SLI performance once these drop in price further. As for the overclocking issue, you can always add a different cooler and overclock yourself, but I don't think that will be needed anytime soon, at least for me ;).

Very fast card, allows me to finally utilize my 20 inch 1680x1050 monitor! Card is almost as fast as 8800GTX but for like 1/2 the price! Maxes out most games (excluding Crysis)
Left me with a slightly lighter wallet but well worth it.Playable frame rates in Crysis but wish it was a bit higher although was expected

I definitely recommend this graphics card to anyone in need of good performance for a good price! I came from a 7600gt and the difference is night and day. It is a wonderful feeling to play Call of Duty 4 maxed out at 1680x1050. If you are thinking about buying it, I say do it.
